Rancho Gordo Ayocote Morado Beans – 1 Lb.

Rancho Gordo calls this a “gateway bean”.  They’re perfect if you’re trying a more plant-based diet, or if you’re a vegetarian cooking for omnivore friends.  Ayocote Morado is a beautiful purple runner bean; thicker-skinned and on the large side, it turns creamy with longer cooking.  No one will miss the meat when you toss these with some olive oil, garlic and sautéed mushrooms!  Suggested uses:  soup, chili, casseroles, pot beans, salads.
